Work

I build the whole thing.

I started writing software because of what it does for people, and I still pick work that way. Chef Buddy exists because the four apps we were using at home didn’t talk to each other.

Chef Buddy

A cooking platform that keeps recipes, meal plans, shopping and the cooking itself in sync for everyone in a household. Native on iPhone and iPad, with a web companion and admin on its own API. The AI does real work in it: reading recipes, planning the week, answering questions mid-cook.

The Chef Buddy home screen: a personal greeting, the dinner planned for tomorrow, and rows of recipe collections.

AI, specifically

I spend most of my time here.

Not prompt tips. Custom agents that do a specific job, agentic workflows wired into the systems you already run, and the plumbing underneath — tool use, context, evaluation, and the guardrails that stop it embarrassing you in front of a customer.

It starts from your use case, not from a model. Chef Buddy is what that looks like when it’s finished.

  • Agents built for one job, and built to be trusted with it
  • Agentic workflows that touch your real tools and data
  • AI put inside a product, not bolted on as a chat box
  • Evals, cost and failure handling before it goes live
  • Working out whether AI is even the right answer

What I'll take on.

Most of it won't end up as a product with a screenshot.

  • An app or product built from nothing
  • iOS work — a new app, or one that needs rescuing
  • AI features that have to survive real users
  • AI that makes life easier for you, your team, or your business
  • Getting two systems to talk to each other
  • Automating work that’s currently copy and paste
  • Taking over something nobody’s maintaining
